In 2019, Compassion Takes Action became aware of the Home of the Champions. A small orphanage just outside of Dhaka, and home to 30 boys and girls. Like orphanages in many developing countries, the children here were not without parents; however, their families suffer from such extreme poverty that their parents are not able to provide for their basic necessities of life.

Our paths crossed with Home of the Champions, when we learned that because of the loss of major donors, these children would no longer be able to attend school. Since then, Compassion Takes Action has taken on the financial responsibility for sending these children to school by covering the cost of their tuition, uniforms, books, school supplies and exam fees. We are currently in the process of trying to find sponsors for each child. 

Along with supporting the education of these children, Compassion Takes Action has also sponsored multiple construction and capital improvement projects. Some of these projects include a new roof, water pump installation and the purchase of new furniture. On our 2020 visit to Bangladesh we were able to visit Home of the Champions and spearhead a painting project. We were also able to meet and get to know the sweet children who reside there. We look forward to our continued work with this organization.
